Would you pls help me to choose an appropriate adjective for this
I need an adjective for describing a research group which I genuinely wish to be part of it since I'm strongly interested in the research field of that group.
I chose "amazing". Does it a good fit with a formal text?
Do you have any suggestion for me?

if you are worried about the level of formality, that term is ok. However, in English it can come across as very enthusiastic. It may be useful to get a bit of context on what is that you are trying to highlight, since you may be able to use a more specific term.
