The word ''pickles'' in the U.S.A. probably means ''pepinillos'' in Spanish.
Here in Spain, it is a common practice to serve these ''pepinillos'' as a starter or ''tapa'' accompanied with a tuna or olive attached with a little stick. We call it ''Banderilla'' :)
