What is different parents and parent ?? Is parent only used for single care taker ??

Parents means the mother and father.
Parent is just one person. The mother is the parent. The father is the parent. Do not include care taker in this concept. The grandfather is not a parent. The nurse is not a parent. They could be guardians.
A guardian is anyone who is caring for another. An adult babysitter can be a guardian.
