Can I use phasal verbs with "Go" to make imperative sentences? Can I use phasal verbs with "Go" to make short imperative sentences like "Get" and are they they the same meaning? 1 Get out! --> Go out! 2 Get off! --> Go off! 3 Get down --> Go down! 4 Get in! --> Go in! 5 Get on! --> Go on! Can I use phasal verbs with "Get" to make imperative sentences like "Go" and are they they the same meaning? 6 Go away! --> Get away! 7 Go back! --> Get back! 8 Go around! --> Get around! Thanks!

Hi Tâm, Phrasal verbs have specific and multiple meanings, so in some cases you can replace and it would still mean the same thing but cannot always be replaced. For example: Go back --> to fail to keep a promise He never goes back on his word. Get back --> return to a place/start doing something again When does Sara get back from work? Hope it helps. You can also say: Go ahead! (Go right on ahead) Go for it! More informal/slang type phrases: Get lost! Get a life! Get a clue!

But I mean "phasal verbs" used to make short imperative sentences (ex: Sit down!, Stand up!)

In fact here's a website that has a list of a few hundred of the most commonly used ones. It includes example sentences as well: https://www.englishclub.com/vocabulary/phrasal-verbs-list.htm
