Due to some political reasons, a number of people from Taiwan prefer to be called as "Taiwanese" instead of "Chinese". It is the reason why such term arises. Please be kindly advised that the term is spelt with only one "n", i.e., Taiwanese, but not with two "n". Additionally, in terms of nationality, it is supposed to be capitalized. Another point (if you do not mind to be corrected for the grammar) is that, when you posed the sentence in a question format, the auxiliary verb "does", which comes from "to do", is already conjugated. Hence, the verb "to mean" needs to be kept in a non-conjugated form, i.e., "mean" but not "means". And the whole sentence should be given as, "What does Taiwanese mean?" Good day. じゃね。

"Taiwanese" (adjective) describes people and things coming from the island known both as Taiwan (in geographical terms) and the Republic of China (in political terms). e.g. “I love Taiwanese music!”
