Is it a correct sentence:"I`m sorry I broke your window" he said.- He said to have breaking my window. Thanks. Thanks, but it`s important to keep the word "breaking" in this sentence!

'I'm sorry I broke your window', he said. (Direct speech) He said that he had broken my window. (Reported speech) Or He told me that he had broken my window. (Reported speech) Past simple (Direct Speech) ------ Past perfect (Reported Speech) He said to have ... (incorrect)

He said he had broken my window. Or better: He apologised for having broken my window.
