'should', to express probability and obligation From what I have learned so far, the modal verb 'should' is translated as the conditional form of 'deber' (debería) My question is, is this translation correct in both contexts in English? The train should be here any minute. (probability) We should respect each other. (mild obligation) many thanks for your thoughts.

yes, almost 100%. Obligation is also better expressed by "tener que". Exact equivalences are a bit difficult as spanish lacks such verbs as "should", "would", "may/might".
