First I would like to congratulate you for your translation JoeRay ;) ... You preferred to stick with the source text and that is an adequate translation, I guess. However, I think, "lead the people here" would be a better choice than "guide the people here"; there are millions of alternatives, though... I just love to discuss translations matters :)
