da = de + artigo "a" (Feminine form for "of the") do = de + artigo "o" (Masculine or neutral form for "of the") Podes dizer: A lenda do Paulo - The legend of the Paulo. ( "Do" (de +o) gives Paulo more importance and it is the more common form) A lenda de Paulo - The legend of Paulo.
