lottery is a tax on daydreamers. daydreams encourage people, while mathematics (logic) discourages knowledge in maths ( probability theory ) would whisper the people that, "it is an utter foolishness to have such a big hope in lottery" this way, lottery becomes: - tax on people who can't do math - tax on castles in the air - fine for reverie, fantasy, ...

People who don't understand math don't realize how unlikely they are to win anything in the lottery. The odds of winning are very low. The money that people spend on lottery tickets goes to the state governments, at least that is the case in the US. So buying lottery tickets is like paying a tax to the state government. People who do understand math well probably will not buy lottery tickets because of the low odds. These people then do not pay the lottery "tax."

Ahahahahahaha.... I must say that is very good.

It means that there is no return or protection when gambling with the state lottery. It is not a mandatory tax and still people contribute to it religiously and willingly It in hopes of a fat return. It is actually a good system though... I'd prefer the lottery's collecting non mandatory taxation over traffic tickets any day. All the money goes into the system though few people bother to consider how much money they dump into the pot. So the lottery a is state run gambling business that uses its money for whatever it wants to. I am unaware of any checks and balances in the lottery system. Other taxation without representation include traffic tickets, IRS collections, Toll roads, etc.

I think I'll buy a ticket or twenty today.
