a French question.when should i use "le" and "la" to mean "the"? what's the difference between them?

salut!
"le" est un article defini qu'on utilise pour les noms masculins:e.g:le chien de mon voisin. le fils de mon oncle...etc.
parcontre"la" est un article défini qu'on utilise pour les noms féminins:e.g:
la maison de mon grand pére. j'ai perdu la mémoire.

simple..it means the same: but LE is masculine and LA is feminine :P
the girl= la fille
the boy = le garçon(le gars) both work!!!
hope it will help you a little bit more :P
