This is the way I see it. Apart from loving you, a life partner should be that person who will always be there for you. Their presence makes your heart glow and makes you feel better.He/she helps, encourages and supports you to grow into your full potential She/ he is interested in you becoming who you want to become and should not be the one to drag you down.

I wish I was the one choosing, as is well known the choice is made by Mother Nature (the feeling of love is not under our control, like knowledge is for example). If my words seem strange, please think over this: Is your will so powerful that can you can order any of the followings: a) start wanting to see that face. b) stop wanting to see that dear face. Does your feelings in a short time adapt to those commands ? If the answer is 'yes' than you are surely an exception in humanity. It is not just me saying that but Philosophers, Scientists and common sense. Net result (as beautifully told by scores of poets and writers) is that Mother Nature is ruling here.
