Hi everyone, Ive just listened BBC news which title is [A million children at risk of hunger as Afgan winter bites]. Then, I have a qurstion. I dont understand what does mean "Afgan people are suffering from in a jewels for those, there is no respite."Whatdoes mean "jewels" in this sentence? I may have misheard but my image of "jewels" is like close to the term "treasure".Why do they have to suffer from theterm "jewels"? I get confuse. It wold be greatly appriciated if you could explain the meaning. Thankyou.
