Don't you say this pattern?
If yes, would you mind making some sentences with it?
If no, please let me know some appropriate expressions.

"Thank you for..." is extremely common, but it's not usually part of a complete sentence:
Thank you for the lovely gift.
Thank you for the wonderful meal.
Thank you for helping me.
Thank you for waiting for me.
Thank you for listening.
You could turn any of them into a sentence by beginning with "I would like to thank you for..." or "Let me thank you for...", but it's less common than using the shorter form.
