In English, someone type "haha", someone else type "hehe". Is the both means laugh? Which one seems like more happy?

I personally prefer « haha » because in my head it sounds more like a natural laugh. « Hehe » just sounds creepier to me.

Almost everyone I know (Americans) use “haha.” Usually my Asian friends use “hehe.”

I think to express amusement - haha. Hehe sounds more playful or jokey. But it really just depends on the native language or dialect of the writer. How does laughing sound to them?
