Hi everyone! Yesterday, during my lunch break, I was reading an odd article: in a Swedish village they solve an arduous environmental problem impact: smokers don't use ashtray and put thier butts on the way. Engineers figured out it's easier teaching to crows to get back these butts around the city and put them in a machine where, for every butt, returns a food for diligent birds. My question is: but really is faster to train animals than to educate people to respect our environment, our common spaces? Why don't men think about the consequences to their own actions? Nowadays every channel of communication explain to us each action, speech and thought create effects, I'm very puzzled about widespread indifference.

Hi everyone! Yesterday, during my lunch break, I was reading an odd article; in a Swedish village they have solved an arduous environmental problem: smokers don't use ashtrays and instead put their butts on the ground/pavement. Engineers figured out it's easier teaching crows to collect these butts from around the city and put them in a machine, which, for every butt, deposits food for diligent birds. My question is: is it really faster to train animals than to educate people to respect our environment, our common spaces? Why don't we think about the consequences of our own actions? Nowadays every channel of communication explains to us that each action, speech and thought creates effects, so I'm very puzzled about widespread indifference.
