Is that request is to express the need or desire for while requisition is to demand something

Requisition is often used to describe official acts, especially in times of war "we tried to escape but the army had requisitioned all of the fuel". A request can be something polite but it can also be official, between governments or asking the government for something "the made an official request to see the documents"
