La música tradicional más popular de mi país se llama "Calypso". El calypso es un tipo de música muy animada y vibrante. Los ritmos están diseñados para hacer que la gente quiera bailar. Normalmente bailan en pareja, a veces, mejilla a mejilla y a veces más lejos para bailar más rápido. Las canciones normalmente tratan de las fiestas, disfrutar de la vida y el amor. Muchas veces juegan con palabras para decir cosas muy groseras y sensuales. Del calypso nació otro tipo de música que se llama soca, que ahora es la más popular.
