Hello, my name is Helena and I'm a Level 5 TEFL certified teacher from the UK. I work in a business environment, but outside of work I enjoy drawing, writing, running and languages. My own experience of learning languages through conversation brought me to italki, and I'd love to help you with English and learn about your culture too!教学经验
I will focus on helping you to improve your spoken English and can help with preparing for interviews (e.g. IELTS speaking questions) and presentations, or we can chat about daily life. I can provide corrections and feedback as required. Although speaking is the main focus, I am happy to help check written work or assignments for grammatical errors. Sessions will be a safe environment where you are free to make mistakes and we will build your confidence with English in no time!我提供的课程和我的教学风格
Sessions are mostly working on your conversational skills, but I can be flexible and incorporate activities to suit you. For example, we can practice IELTS speaking questions, look at articles together, check an assignment or job application that you've been working on. We can discuss a variety of topics and work together to improve your confidence with English. Cancellation/no-show policy: please aim to give me 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. I have been learning English with Joanna for around a half year now and enjoyed every lesson with her. Looking back I am suprised how much I improved.

My weaknesses and needs were very well addressed during the lessons. Various techniques, such as role-playing games, were offered. The atmosphere was always friendly and calm. All in all a very good lesson.

Helena is a good teacher and she is so patient. She has a lovely voice. I enjoy having a lesson with her. She is polite and knowledgeable. Her course meets my needs. She is very punctual. The course is well prepared. I like her class. I believe she will do better and better in future. I highly recommend her.
