I am an aspiring developmentalist and researcher, currently working as a professional English teacher both online and offline. I hold a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology, Sociology, and Political Studies & International Relations, as well as Honours and a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Rhodes University, South Africa. I enjoy teaching, reading, traveling, and engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. My teaching style focuses on conversational and communicative methods, including task-based learning and physical response. I encourage learners to speak freely, helping them build confidence while I identify and correct mistakes in a supportive, effective way. I love teaching, reading, traveling and conversing/engaging with people around the world on different topics because I love acquiring new knowledge everyday. In teaching, I love conversational and communicative teaching because it also helps in building confidence especially for people learning about what is being taught for the first time :). My teaching style includes conversational teaching, communicative language teaching, task based language learning, and physical response. In my lessons I allow learners to speak as much as they can or as much as they want to so that they can get used to conversing in English. In this way, I can be able to pick up mistakes that learners may make and correct them in the most comfortable and educational way possible.
