I currently live in a small town in Washington State, about two hours from Seattle. It is a beautiful area and I prefer to spend my free time outdoors. My favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, and kayaking. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, and yoga. Before I moved back to the United States, I was working abroad in Japan. I love traveling, meeting people, and learning about other cultures.教学经验
I have been teaching for more than ten years. I began with AmeriCorps and worked at a center for immigrants and refugees in Seattle, WA. This experience inspired my passion for teaching English language learners. I gained more experience working at private language schools in both Korea and Guatemala before receiving my MA TESOL from the New School for Public Engagement in 2013. After graduating, I moved to Shanghai, China where I worked in an English for Academic Purposes program to help prepare students who were going to study abroad. Most recently, I served as a Global Teaching Fellow at Tokyo International University. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I prefer a communicative approach to teaching that allows for a lot of conversation and interaction. It is important for me to get to know my students and understand their interests and goals. I like to use authentic materials that can help learners integrate their English skills into real-world situations. My teaching style is fun and creative and I enjoy tailoring lessons to fit students' individual needs.5.0
