Hello! I'm Lois - I live in the UK, in Yorkshire. I am passionate about helping my students to develop. I particularly love coaching students to perform BETTER and MORE CONFIDENTLY in the workplace.
I am an experienced and qualified English teacher with a career in teaching and development in the Higher Education, Charity and Business sectors. I hold CELTA and CertEd qualifications and the University of Cambridge 'Intercultural Communication for Global Business' award.
In the past I have worked with migrants and refugees to the UK and am committed to principles of equality and inclusion, welcoming all students to my classes.

I have a friendly and natural coaching style and a real interest in helping students develop their full potential. I love to work with students who feel a bit nervous about speaking English and who feel the fear of making mistakes or not being as good as others is holding them back.
My specialist areas are:
* Business English - helping you to develop strong spoken English in the workplace and coaching you to be successful and confident in your career
* Conversation and culture - developing your ability to have natural conversations about a range of topics with a native speaker. This quickly develops both your speaking and listening skills and your knowledge of British culture. 我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My style is friendly and encouraging. Learning a language is fun so I aim for a relaxed but informative style in my classes.
The Business English classes can be more demanding; your reward is to see your skills, confidence and accuracy progress quickly over a short number of sessions and for your career prospects to increase!
At our first lesson we will start by discussing your needs and what you would like to achieve. I will talk to you about what I can do to support your development and we will discuss and agree a way forward together.
