Kimi

Kimi is a talented teacher. I came to her with absolutely zero knowledge of Japanese and only a month of time to prepare for a work trip to Japan. I feel that she has done an excellent job in preparing me as best as possible. I especially like the time she allows for review. While she is teaching, she draws on previous lessons and asks me lots of questions, which forces me to recall what I've learned. I think this has really reinforced a lot of the material in my mind. She also has good resources! We follow https://www.irodori.jpf.go.jp/en/ and she takes notes during the lesson which she shares with me after. Because I am a predominantly visual learner, I find the text and her notes extremely helpful. 11 out of 10, I would highly recommend taking classes with Kimi.

My lesson with Kimi was great! I hadn't had a lot of time during the week to decide what I wanted to cover in this lesson, but Kimi was really good at giving me questioning prompts to keep the conversation going, and we didn't have any moments where we were struggling to keep the lesson flowing. Lessons with Kimi-san are always fun, enjoyable, and educational. Time flies in conversation, and I still can't believe I am able to converse in Japanese now! Kimi-san is good at putting her students at ease, and she is also great at helping you practice grammar points when needed. She encourages written homework which has helped me level up enormously over the past months. She's a great teacher! I highly recommend her classes.

Kimi-san is very calm and patient. She lets the conversation flow naturally and gently corrects you along the way, adding new words when you need them. Thanks!
