35-year-old native speaker from Berlin; 8 years of full-time italki experience; 40+ hours/week of availability; passionate language learner; experience abroad (Canada, Czechia)
I've taught more than 9000 lessons on italki, and I also have TEFL and CTEYL certificates for teaching English. I´ve spent a lot of time on reading studies, watching presentatiosn by polyglots and scientists, MOOCs (Computer Enhanced Language Learning, for example). I’ve also found that learning languages and taking lessons as a student on italki myself has helped me tremendously.
Every student is different but with most students, I either do:
conversation-focused classes, where you learn grammar as it comes up and where we focus on pronunciation, translation, new concepts, and revision for about a third of the lesson. Check out this video if you want to know more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUxy13I67lU
Leveled courses (mostly A1-B2) where we work with a book. We focus on the things where working with a teacher is the most important (pronunciation, speaking, your questions, actually understanding the grammar, concepts, translation practice) and you can do the reading practice and the exercises on your own and at your own pace.我的教学资料

Another good lesson. Paule is very good at tactfully suggesting improvements to what I say and the hour-long lesson just flew by as usual. I also learned a new trick for remembering adjective endings -- I can't believe I didn't know this before!
