I’ve worked with quite a few language tutors over the years, but this Chinese tutor stands out—especially if you’re already at an intermediate or advanced level and feel “stuck.” What I appreciated most is the depth. Instead of repeating textbook patterns, lessons focused on nuance—word choice, tone, cultural context, and how native speakers actually express themselves in real conversations. We spent time breaking down subtle differences between similar phrases, refining sentence structure, and pushing toward more natural, fluent expression. Another big plus: the tutor doesn’t let you stay comfortable. You’re consistently challenged—in a good way. Whether it’s through real-time corrections, advanced discussion topics, or precise pronunciation feedback, every session feels intentional and results-driven.

I learnt so many words in this lesson and shared my experiences in China to help me practice speaking and listening in Mandarin. Best teacher with the best pronunciation!

Kaya is a great teacher, her Mandarin is exceptional and she explains how to pronounce each word - shows you the correct tongue, mouth and lips position. She is an expert and also friendly ☺️. I am looking forward to learning with her over the years to come and improve every week!
