Hi, my name is Klaus. I am 38 years old and I am from Vienna (Austria). After my geography study at the university, I did my bachelor degree of education at the University College of Teacher Education in Vienna. My subjects are German and Geography. In 2018 I studied one semester at the university in Granada (Spain). From 2018-2021 I worked as a German Teacher in a Middle School in Vienna. At the moment I live in Turin (Italy) and work as a Teacher (German as a foreign language) at different school types, the Goethe-Institut and at the ESCP business school. In my free time, I spend time in the mountains around Torino (backcountry skiing, mountaineering, climbing) or on my mountainbike. I am a responsible-minded, enthusiastic and flexible teacher with a good sense of humour. I participated in many different language courses, which gave me the possibility to see the things from the student's perspective. I know how challenging it is to learn a new language. I got to know which contents and methods I want to include in my teaching approach and which contents are improvable. It makes a lot of fun to teach German to other people. It is always interesting to see students improving their skills. To learn a new language can mean also to share interests, cultural facts (music, food,...), actual topics or other moments with people. I was not really happy to pay for the lesson which we never had due to the teacher‘s busy schedule. I do understand that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes disrupt schedules, but communication is key in such situations.
