☆I am from Iwakuni city, Yamaguchi prefecture. Iwakuni is famous for the Kintaikyo Bridge,
I’m currently living in Nara prefecture, next to Kyoto.

☆MusicーI really like music partly because my cousin is a professional classical music conductor ＆ composer. I like listening to music, singing songs ＆ practicing the piano at my parents' house.
☆Weight TrainingーI have been doing it for over 20 years.

★I passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test the first try. This is the most difficult test for Japanese teachers, created by JEES, the creator of JLPT. Only one in four applicants can pass it.
★At university, I majored in English and I got a national license to teach English at junior and senior high schools in Japan.
★I passed the National Civil Servant Language Specialist Exams in 1997 and engaged myself in teaching English for over 2500 officer candidates from National Defense Academy, pilots, etc. I received certificates of commendation 3 times from commandants for my achievements in improving their proficiency significantly.

The Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test - The Japan Educational Exchanges and Services - 2020日本語教育能力検定試験 2020年一発合格 日本国際教育支援協会（JEES). In early 2020, I found out about the existence of this test and the profession of an online Japanese teacher. This is the longest-established, most difficult and authoritative test for Japanese language teachers. I strongly believe that professional Japanese language teachers are responsible for passing this test. Therefore, I studied very hard every day for about 8 months for the test and as a result, I successfully passed it the first try.

The Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test - The Japan Educational Exchanges and Services - 2020The Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test is administered by the JEES, the same organization that creates the JLPT. It is the most difficult test for Japanese teachers, with a pass rate of only one in four. Passing this exam on the first try in 2020 shows my deep understanding of Japanese grammar, vocabulary, and pedagogy. My success with this JEES-created exam also enables me to teach JLPT-focused courses effectively, leveraging the insight I gained into their question formats.

We started with a knowledge review to see where we should begin. I was provided with plenty of material to get started and additional source information.

Keita Sensei does a nice job clearly going over the course materials and explaining the questions and answers. He writes down everything for the student to see, so it is clear what was said and how this may have differed from the appropriate response. He uses the Genki textbook and workbook along with google docs for his lessons. It is a structured, but still relaxed approach that I find very helpful. I would highly recommend Keita Sensei!

Keita san is a great teacher. I've just completed a 10-lesson package and am booking another. I came in with minimal Japanese (Hiragana and a few words) and he met me where I was at.
Our sessions involve going through Genki, some Japanese conversation, and reviewing homework, which he helpfully grades outside of class.
Keita san provides materials if you don't have them, and maintains a Google doc of feedback and key lesson points. The structure and flexibility provided are great, and I feel like I'm making progress towards learning this language.
I highly recommend him and look forward to continuing to learn from him.

As always, Keita Sensei was excellent. Very helpful and insightful homework corrections, deep knowledge of linguistics, structured lessons that let me know what to expect each time, and a lots of patience correcting my mistakes.
いつも通り、素晴らしい授業でした。先生のおかげで、だんだん日本語が上手になってきていると実感しています。
