Mona is a great teacher. I find myself looking forward to her enjoyable and fun lessons. I've already learnt a lot in a short time. Mona takes time to correct my pronunciation, so I'm learning good language habits from the start and learning how to speak Patois the way Jamaicans speak. I'm also learning about Jamaican culture in the process. Her style is kind and encouraging whilst also making sure we stick to task and get through the curriculum. It is very clear that she is an experienced and skilled language teacher. She has an accompanying book that she wrote that is optional and inexpensive to purchase. I'm very grateful I connected with her as my teacher for Patois. Big Up Yuhself!

Mona is a one of a kind tutor. She's been tutoring me for one year now and she always comes to every meeting with high energy and enthusiasm to teach. She has lived in many different places in Jamaica so she is very knowledge about all the different parishes and has personal stories to tell about each one. She is very kind and honest and makes learning patios very fun! She will make you read, write, and speak patios as well which really helps me learn it at a fast rate.
