Always a great session, informative, helpful and energetic. More than 5 sessions in and we have a plan of what I should focus on that is super helpful for me.

This was a subsequent lesson with Yris after having had a few classes with her about a year and a half ago, due to my absence, not hers. She is by far my favorite instructor on iTalki. She is patient, knowledgeable, and very creative in finding subject matter for conversation. I find her to be very caring about me as a student and concerned about my progress in Spanish. I have had many iTalki instructors and few have shown the patience, engagement, and interesting conversation I receive from Yris. It feels as if I'm simply having conversation with a friend who corrects me from time to time, just as it should. She also put all of the corrections from the conversation in the notes for later study. Simply awesome! ¡Qué increíble!

Yris is such a good teacher. She's calm, sensitive and supportive. I look forward to many more lessons with her.

Today through practicing, speaking, and listening, we discovered my strengths and weaknesses and she also evaluated and gave a solution for me to improve.

Yris is a great teacher and I will definitely continue with her. In the first lesson, I noticed she made me feel comfortable enough to practice speaking, whereas I normally get nervous and freeze up. In the second lesson, I expecte to just practice speaking, but she came with so many materials she had prepared and practice activities/ worksheets, which really helped me learn the material in a problem grammar area that I’ve been struggling with. She has a very warm, friendly personality, is very knowledgeable and a skilled teacher. She finds a great balance between structure and making the lesson fun. Highly recommend booking with her!
