Hi:) My name is Yuka from Tokyo. I've been teaching Japanese nearly 3 years. After working for 7 years in Japan and Canada, I came back to school to pursue my passion for education. Now, I'm studying linguistics and language education at Ochanomizu University. I like learning languages, reading, and having deep discussions with friends:) I try to share as much knowledge as possible in hope for enriching my students' learning experience!

- I only accept FEMALE students at the moment

I've been teaching Japanese mostly to adults since 2022. Before that, I taught elementary English and Chinese to Japanese working professionals for 1 year. Aside from teaching, I also work as an assistant director at a video production company in Tokyo.

🔑 The core of my classes is to learn Japanese with CLEAR & DEEP understanding. During each session, we will carefully look at:
・Pronunciation
・Grammar
・Vocabulary
・Cultural knowledge
・Linguistic differences & similarities
📖 For beginners, I use "Irodori Nihongo (Irodori Japanese)", which is a textbook made with colorful pictures and lots of communicative tasks.
For intermediate to advanced students, I try to integrate authentic materials so that we can get exposed to real-life Japanese:)
