Emmanuela has been instrumental to my increasing proficiency with the French language. My ability to communicate in both casual conversation groups and the official settings of an exam have grown tremendously. I began working towards the DELF B1 in spring of last year, and this past December, I successfully completed the exam and have received my diploma. Though this was my first time taking a language exam for any level, with Emmanuela’s precise & patient coaching, plus her insights into the structure of the exam and the expectations of the administrators, I found I was fully prepared, receiving an almost perfect score on the production orale. Completing homework assignments, based on texts Emmanuela provides, proved to be critical for exam preparation. During lessons, Emmanuela provides corrections & feedback on the nuances of the French language while I take lots of notes! I feel very fortunate to be learning from Emmanuela and I highly recommend her to anyone learning French!!

I have been studying with Emmamuela weekly for the last nine months, and it has been a delightful time that has helped me enormously with my French. When I started learning with her, I could barely answer a "What's the weather like?" question. Mainly due to my French back then being quite awful, but also because I am naturally shy. Since then, my skills have rapidly improved. Today I speak fluently, as well as watch youtube videos and read books meant for native French speakers as my daily entertainment. She has helped enormously not only by creating a safe environment during classes but also by coherently and patiently walking me through all the different aspects of French. It has given me the confidence and the help needed to improve it at a rapid pace. I am very grateful for her guidance as a teacher. It has truly been an amazing time, and I could not recommend her more!

Emmanuela has an exceptional talent for teaching languages and brings a lot of enthusiasm to our lessons. She offers me useful tips for avoiding common mistakes and practical methods to incorporate new grammar concepts and vocabulary. I leave each lesson with a clear understanding of how to improve-- and perhaps most important-- the encouragement to keep progressing with French!
