This is my first time using italki, and I really enjoy my current teacher. I was hesitant to have a second teacher because I was worried I might get overwhelmed, but I’ve been looking at Stella 선생님’s profile for a while because she looked very fun and super interesting. I finally decided to try a lesson today, and I had a great first trial lesson!! The lesson was mostly conversation and focused on actually applying the Korean I’ve already learned, which was exactly what I was looking for. She was patient and made me feel comfortable practicing speaking, while also helping me use grammar and vocabulary in a more natural way. I really liked that the lesson felt practical rather than just memorizing grammar - which is what I tend to do on my own when i self-study after I learn with my current teacher. 선생님~ thank you so much!!! Stella is a wonderful teacher that's very understanding and committed to helping her students understand and progress. Had my first 1h conversations lesson with Stella! Thank you so much~ the materials she provided really helped a lot for me to retain what i learned/know, and lessons with her encourage me to actually SPEAK 😭. Having Stella as a teacher and her lessons is really showing me my strengths & weaknesses about applying grammar I know in actual conversations to actually USE it. She also provides notes at the end of the lesson and explains well, so I am also picking up new vocabulary and grammar along the way on top of our conversation practices. Thank you for a great lesson!

Stella helped me understand a grammar concept that I have been struggling with (은/는 vs 이/가) for a while. She was very patient with me while I worked it out and provided helpful examples and feedback. I couldn't have learned this from a textbook without the help of such an amazing 선생님!
