My Ukrainian teacher Anna is such a juwel. Although I am always rather exhausted afterwards - the lessons with Anna just make me happy. She is such an encouraging, friendly and very professional teacher. I do highly recommend her!

I had the privilege of worked with Anna 3x/week for a little over a month, and I can tell you that that was the best money I ever spent. Anna is exceptional. The quantity of resources in her possession is unheard of, and she uses them to make sure that her students get the best possible experiences during their Russian learning. She has cool multimedia-based lessons and homework assignments, as well. She gives homework if you want homework, and she grades it promptly with clear explanations for mistakes. She also makes it a point to have students talk in the target language as much as possible, but her English is very fluent, so if you a need to switch to English, she can do so easily, though she works to get back to Russian as soon as possible. I would recommend Anna to anyone. I would even recommend her over the majority of in-person instructors. She makes the technology work for her students in a way that in-person instruction never could.

A lesson with Anna is always an inspiring experience. Such great commitment and patience combined with great professionalism and knowledge (not only in Ukrainian and English but also in German!). I am very happy that I have Anna as my Ukrainian teacher. I love the lessons with her!

Since beginning lessons with Anna, I have made tremendous progress in learning Ukrainian. Like many English speakers, my knowledge of grammar is weak, but to understand how to use cases in Ukrainian, sometimes you really need to understand the parts of a sentence. Anna is great at teaching this. She is also very responsive to requests. I asked her if we could spend one lesson a week on reading, and she has been super-helpful with that. She even put a huge amount of effort into creating an online reading course built around the classic story "The Little Prince", which I wanted to read. I am so happy I found Anna here on iTalki. She is a gem.
