It’s hard to reach 100 lessons with one teacher, but 10 students have done it with me — they find me comfortable to learn with. Over the years, helping my students speak Korean just in a few months, I realized that traditional education was teaching cruelly wrong. and billions of students are wasting their time. After spending my life learning many languages, I finally found the "key"! I’ve mostly taught students from the States, and my lessons are optimized to help them. Learning a language is more like riding a bicycle or swimming. It’s not something to “study” like math or science. You don't need the textbook. To reach your goals, make many mistakes rather than pursuing perfection. Focus more on topics we usually talk about than on memorizing vocabs and studying grammar. In my lessons, you will speak Korean rather than “study” it. I’m a teacher, but “conversation designer” would be a better word for me. All of my students begin speaking from a very early stage. They learn speaking strategies and speak even with limited vocabulary and grammar. This was my very first lesson on iTalki. John is an amazing teacher and we were able to cover a lot of ground in the trial lesson. What stands out to me is that the lessons are very interactive, which makes them fun and easier to recal things. I will be definitively taking more lessons with him. Thank you John!
