Yurika Yamaguchi

I have been taking classes with Yurika for a while now and I’ve enjoyed every single lesson with her. As a teacher, Yurika is energetic, patient, and incredibly sweet, always making sure I understand what she is saying and giving me plenty of opportunities to speak and express myself - always willing to help me create correct sentences if I’m challenging myself beyond the level of Japanese I am comfortable with. If I have a specific grammar point that I want to delve into, Yurika will prepare a lesson tailored towards that specific request. In case I don’t have any requests myself, she has plenty of ideas of what grammar and vocabulary I should learn next, always making sure to challenge me without going uncomfortably above my level. I always leave her lessons feeling like I’ve learned something new while having a lot of fun. She speaks English well and can explain both vocabulary and grammar in English, when I do not understand the Japanese explanation. ゆりかさん、今までありがとうございます！

Yamaguchi Sensei is the best Japanese teacher on italki! She's been teaching me Japanese for almost a year. I just got back from my first trip to Japan and was able to see the results of her teaching first hand. It made such a difference being able to communicate with locals while traveling the country! Now she is helping me prepare to write the JLPT N5 in December. Can't imagine learning Japanese without her! 本当にありがとうございます！！！
