I am Koketso (nickname Koki) and I am a 34 year old native English speaker living in Gaborone, Botswana. In my career I have a few years experience working on transcriptions and translations to and from English to my other native language, Setswana, and I have offered Financial Literacy training to adults who speak English as a second language, and training on Content Management Systems. My interests include reading, yoga, camping, and running. I love working with people and seeing their progress and 'wins' and tutoring on italki aligns with my goals of giving back. I am currently learning German and I can therefore appreciate the effort that goes into learning a new language.教学经验
I am friendly, enthusiastic, and respectful as a teacher. In the past I have had to work with different people who were at varying levels with their English language proficiency skills. I pride myself in being patient and being able to break concepts down to an individual's level of understanding. I also have interacted with many people from various cultural backgrounds who were at different levels with their fluency in English and spoke with different accents in personal and professional settings.
I am comfortable with working with people from different countries & cultures and find it to be a really rewarding experience, which is why I choose to teach as a community tutor on italki.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My teaching style is highly adaptable, and I like to put emphasis on practice. I employ an individual approach and tailor my lessons to the needs of individual learners. Most importantly, I want my learners to feel relaxed yet enthusiastic about learning. I encourage students to actively participate in class and I offer lessons that may be student- or teacher-led depending on the learner's confidence and set targets to help improve on conversational skills. My lessons are interactive and supportive and focus on grammar, pronunciation, and increasing vocabulary.我的教学资料
