Chika

I've been having lessons with Chika-san for three years now. She explains everything clearly and patiently, and has an excellent knowledge of teaching grammar. I've also learned so many more useful words and expressions beyond those introduced in traditional classes. She also suggests resources for me to look at later, giving us more time for conversation. Her English is excellent, so there is never any problem with communication I highly recommend Chika-san as a teacher, and am looking forward to continuing our lessons in the coming year.

Chika Sensei's class is wonderful. She assesses your level, and gives you a very personalized lesson. She has many topics to discuss, and guides you step by step in conversational Japanese! If you are nervous, or hesitant, she is so patient and kind and helps you with any doubts. I absolutely recommend Chika Sensei Her class seemed so short, I can't wait to see her next lesson, and to see her Trivia at the end of the class! La clase de Sensei Chika es una de las mejores clases que he tomado en iTalkie. Ella te contacta de antemano para saber tu nivel y prepara la clase de manera muy personalizada, teniendo mucho material para trabajar, y te guía paso a paso en conversación y gramática de la lengua japonesa haciéndote sentir cómoda y quitándote los nervios. I've been taking lessons with Chika Sensei for close to 2 years now (60+) lessons, and I look forward to it every week. We talk about everything ranging from the global oil crisis to dating to Japanese culture. Our conversations are always fun and informative. During our conversations, she always manages to sneak in new grammar, vocab, or culture points to help me with my learning journey. I cannot recommend her enough.

This lesson marked the end of another year, and it really made me reflect on how far I’ve come in learning Japanese with Chika-sensei. Thanks to her lessons, I’ve been practicing speaking Japanese consistently for almost 3 years now. I still remember how hard it felt at the beginning to express myself, but now I can understand most conversations and share my thoughts and experiences in simple Japanese with much more confidence. Her lessons always feel natural and encouraging, never stressful. Whether we’re talking about daily life, culture, anime, dramas, or social topics, she creates a comfortable space where I want to keep speaking and trying. I've been taking lessons with Chika for almost a year now and I am very happy. She guides me through basic grammar and syntax rules and helps me practice simple conversation. She also covers cultural topics and makes sure that her lessons are well balanced and fun. There is always room to ask questions and even though it's a tough language to learn I feel like with Chika's support I am making steady progress.
