Akemi先生 is a wonderful teacher. She’s methodical, encourages conversations and explains things clearly. Akemi先生 also gives you additional cultural context / tips on new vocabulary etc. Her classes are always a delight, highly recommend!

Although I have only just started lessons with Akemi-Sensei, I am very impressed with her kind and professional approach. I had an unexpected and sudden offer to travel with a friend to Japan in only one month. I was nervous about what I could learn in such a brief time, but my fears were quickly laid to rest as Akemi-Sensei went right to work laying out a wonderful one-month curriculum. I now feel confident that I will succeed in traveling with a comfortable knowledge of Japanese thanks to this lesson plan! And already in our first lesson, Akemi-Sensei has taught me many important key travel phrases. I am very happy to have found her!
