Teacher Georgette

All great things must eventually come to an end. Today was my last lesson with one of my favorite Tagalog teachers. It has been an absolute pleasure taking over 60 1-hour lessons with Georgette in just over a span of a year. It’s rare for me to spend a lof of time and energy with anyone for a long period of time but it was definitely time well spent. Georgette was my first actual formal teacher in the language and she has done a phenomenal job teaching me the fundamentals and getting a lot of practice whether it be writing in a journal for reviewing each lesson, memorizing countless irregular verbs, and most important of all having wonderful conversations filled with memorable stories about our lives, the goals we’re pursuing, the cultures we grew up in, and so much more! Taking her lessons without a doubt has helped me become confident in Tagalog. I am very blessed to have her as my teacher and a wonderful friend. Marami maraming salamat Teacher Georgette. Ikaw ang the best!

Teacher Georgette is an enthusiastic and thorough teacher! I learn a lot from our lessons that are a blend of conversation practice (she helps me learn how to phrase sentences in more natural-sounding ways) and grammar (she explains new concepts really well and provides realistic examples to illustrate them)!

Teacher Georgette is always encouraging and energized for lessons! She helps me learn how to phrase things in Tagalog correctly but also more naturally for conversations.

Salamat Georgette for another great class! I wouldn’t be as far as I am in my Tagalog journey (although I still have a lot more to learn) without Georgette!
