Irina is a great teacher: patient, creative, flexible, and responsible. Learning with her was easy and fun. She can find the right approach to your situation, help you reach your goals, and provide you with the support and encouragement needed to overcome the frustration all language learners have to deal with sometimes. I took over 600 English lessons with her, mostly focused on conversation practice, and my progress is drastic! At the beginning of the journey, I could barely speak. We had to brush up on grammar too (Irina gave me good textbook exercises). For conversation topics we picked fiction. In a lesson, I would recount the events from a chosen book, and we would discuss them in detail. At first, it was only a few pages per lesson. Now, tons of books later, I can read basically any novel, rarely encountering unknown words, and communicate with people without any issues, which was my goal and I consider it achieved. Thank you, Irina, for the awesome learning experience!

When I began learning Russian with Irina, I started almost from zero (I was familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet, but that was it). Fast-forward a few years, and now I'm almost fluent, and native Russian speakers compliment me all the time about how good my Russian is. Make no mistake, Russian is still a difficult language to master. But with Irina as my teacher, the journey to fluency was fun and as easy as it can be, and I managed to stay motivated all the way through. Highly recommended!

I liked our lesson, we started reading a book in English. We studied grammar, new words and expressions... I will continue studying.

Irene is a phenomenal instructor and coach! I've taken many lessons with her and I keep coming back to her because I am always better at the end than when I started. We have good conversations, she gives great explanations when needed, encourages me (in a great way) to not switch to English as my own crutch, goes over new words and phrases, and is very positive and excited to teach. I'll keep studying with her and I recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their Russian!
