My instincts for guiding foreigners in learning Mandarin are razor-sharp, after teaching dozens of classes and long-term private students, lots of beginners, many intermediate and advanced as well.
Learning habits vary enormously from one person to another, so it’s important that the teacher become aware of each student’s strong and weak areas, offering instructions designed to keep the lessons and self-study *productive*.
A good teacher knows how to balance the intense learning moments with lightness and fun – everyone knows that feeling, right? I enjoy setting students on the effective-learning track.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
1. The textbooks I use: Chinese Standard Course (level 1-6)
This series of books is good for learning conversional Chinese, and as preparation for HSK tests as well. There HSK exams for each of six levels; Besides offering each of the six textbooks, I also make the workbooks (for homework assignments ) and answer keys available.
2. Teaching plans
From level 1-3, we usually spend one hour on each unit during the class, but students can expect to spend about 2 hours on the exercises assigned, in order to learn the material thoroughly.
The number of units per level: (level 1: 15, level 2: 20, level 3: 20).
From level 4-6, both class time and excercise time will be doubled.我的教学资料

Class size varied from 1 to 30, frequency from one day to five days per week, at that time, I used skype occasionally, that's the very start for me to approach "online teaching".

Although I've realized that progress is not linear, I got a chance to reflect on how much better my Chinese has become. It does take time and effort, but achieve higher levels of proficiency is worth it. Since progress is not linear, I am at times concerned about hitting plateaus, in which no progress is visible, and it can be frustrating. Molly has continued to give me advice, techniques, and feedback on how to keep on progressing, especially in this lesson that I just had. Well worth it.

It is amazing what can be accomplished within quite a short period of time just with a bit of dedication and the help of a Great Teacher. 1 year ago, I had my very first lesson with Molly, I had then barely reached HSK1 level and could hardly say anything in Chinese. Since then I’ve successfully passed my HSK3 exam in March and HSK4 in June this year; I’m now well on my way to HSK5. Sure, the road to fluency is still long, yet I feel proud of this accomplishment and feel very grateful for having found such a wonderful teacher. Now whenever someone asks me for some advice about learning Chinese, I just tell them to go on italki and book regular lessons with Molly. 3 or 4 lessons a week, just in a few months you are bound to see some great result.

今天的话题实在是很共鸣,涉及了这个世界的残酷真相。每次上课都说出很深的话题。上了10几课以后，我觉得从中一直都是一举两得。除了能练习中文对话之外，还会探讨一些反思人生的话题。老师真棒👍。
