Conversational lessons with a teacher with volunteering experience! Hello, I'm Rain! I am a native English speaker from the Philippines.
I grew up speaking English and consider myself to have a great understanding and practice of it. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the distance-learning Open University based in Milton Keynes, England. I now work as a Sales Assistant at a local company here in the Philippines. In 2025, I spent a couple of months volunteering as an English tutor online.
I love to do a variety of things! I love to read novels (mostly Fiction), write poems, attend dance classes, watch figure skating, find new music to listen to, learn new things, and meet new people! There's so much to do and love!
During my time as a volunteer English teacher last year, I learned that in order to help someone with their English learning journey I must put myself in their shoes. But I also entered the volunteering role already knowing, as a language learner myself, how challenging learning a new language can be.
And so I strive to create a friendly atmosphere within the lesson so that there is less tension between both the learner and me while the learner continues learning the English language - which I know can be a daunting task on its own. I am so glad and grateful to be helping anyone who wants to better their grasp on English!
In my lessons, I will focus on conversation. I am happy to assist you with vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation - you name it!
