My name is Abigail and I'm from Nigeria. I love learning languages, so I love to teach them. In my quest to break the language barrier between me and persons who are hearing impaired, I chose to learn sign language and integrate into the deaf community and I've made lots of friends. I use my free time to write poetry and travel around West Africa.

I teach American sign language and have been a tutor for close to 8 years. I am a friendly teacher who teaches at all levels, be it beginner, intermediate, advanced, kids, or adults. All are welcome to learn!

I make sure to tailor my teachings to each student's needs depending on the level they're at. I discuss with my student to ascertain their learning goals and objectives, language background and what teaching approach they prefer, after which I draft a lesson plan and then implement all of that into my teaching. I really enjoyed how Ms. Abigail was mindful of my ASL Goals and got to know me bit. She showed lots of respect, diligence, and patience when it came to teaching me. Learning with her felt great and I also felt like she was able to explain things in a very clear context.
