Hey guys! My name is Kosuke. I was born in Japan and now I live in New Zealand.
My passion is surfing and my hobby is travelling around NZ in my camper van.
I am excited to help you learn Japanese and to become part of your language-learning journey. Let's have fun learning together!

My motto is to make sure my students have FUN while studying with me. I provide a space for my students to practice real-world Japanese. I know from personal experience that the language used in a textbook is COMPLETELY different to the language used in real life. I’m here to teach you natural-sounding Japanese that is sure to be helpful, whether speaking to friends, travelling Japan, or just watching anime!
僕のモットーは楽しみながら学習することです。僕のクラスではテキストブックで習う日本語よりももっと日常の会話や、日本への旅行の時、友達と話すときに使える自然な日本語を教えます。

When learning Japanese, it’s important to put the things you learn to the test in a real-life scenario. That’s why in my classes, I give you the opportunity to talk about a topic of your choice in a natural conversational environment. Feel free to ask any questions you might have and I will correct any unnatural-sounding Japanese as we go.
I’ll do my best to gauge an understanding of where your Japanese is at and center each class around areas of difficulty. By working on areas you find tricky, your Japanese is sure to improve!
僕は言語はインプット回数よりもアウトプットする回数の方が大事だと考えています。クラスの中ではフリートークをしながらみなさんが気になる点、僕が気になった点を直して行きます。

We had an excellent class and Kosuke helped me learn verb conjugation forms to express I have to do something or to not do something. I appreciate this important info for when I have travel. We also had a fun conversation about music. I recommend his class. ありがとうございます

Kosuke makes language learning stress-free and enjoyable. The relaxed atmosphere is very appreciated. Whether we are practising free talk, or grammar lessons, he is always patient and supportive. If it wasn’t for Kosuke there is a good chance I would not have made it this far with my lessons

Kosuke Sensei is a wonderful person and a fantastic teacher. His English is great which really helps for when I get totally stuck. If you want to improve your Japanese conversation ability and can speak English, it will be hard to find a teacher better suited to meet your needs.
