Hi, everyone! My name is Emile (pronounced like Emily). I was born in Chicago, but I grew up in Georgia to Thai/Lao parents, so I was constantly surrounded by a multicultural environment. This has fueled my passion in learning about different languages and cultures! My hobbies include traveling, hiking, health, organizational psychology. I am also a comic book nerd, I love languages, films, personal growth, and meditation! You can expect me to be an advocate in creating a safe, yet challenging environment in teaching and promoting cross-cultural sensitivity, bilingualism, and empathy!

I create individual and structured lessons for all levels and purposes: general English learning, exam preparation, academic or business English, etc. My lessons are: -informative, interactive, and fun -catered to every individual's needs -focused on speaking English from day 1-- we will even work on real situational scenarios and more You will: -master all grammar, idiomatic expressions, vocabulary, etc -get to know a culture and language -strengthen your skills in reading, writing, speaking, comprehension, and vocabulary -gain more confidence with the language!

I really enjoyed my first class with Emile to the fullest because she made me feel at ease even after a stressful day and shared her incredibly positive energy with me literally since the first second of the video call. We talked about a great variety of different topics and learned some useful and natural expressions along the way. I sincerely appreciate the big interest Emile showed in the things I was saying, which made our class outstandingly smooth, dynamic and fun. I am looking forward to seeing her again soon and can only encourage everybody reading this to book a lesson with this fantastic teacher!

I had classes with Emile for over 3 months, she is really fantastic! Very good teacher and beautiful person. Each lesson proposes new topics, is very empathetic, puts you at ease, but at the same time tries to get you out of your comfort zone and helps you to improve. I hope I can continue to improve my English with her for a long time!
