I’m an accidental teacher by always able to give answers to my foreign friends whenever they need help with Thai. With their encouragement, I became a full-time Thai teacher and am loving it. It always gives me joy and fulfillment when I see my students attempt to speak Thai or use a new vocabulary, phrase, slang, or idiom that I taught them in class.
The more people who already know Thai learn with me, the more challenging my career becomes, and that’s what makes me feel fulfilled as a human being.

Allow yourself to make many mistakes and learn from them, as well as enhance the knowledge that you have been learning. Whether on your own or with other teachers.

I aim to teach you REAL Thai, which means everyone will be able to understand you or even bring smiles to their faces when you say certain things that aren't commonly spoken by non-Thais. Today was my first lesson with Kru Shelby and I found it fun and really useful. I enjoyed some great Central Thai speaking practice and, at my request, Kru Shelby also taught me some key vocabulary in Isaan Thai. Having a teacher who can communicate so well in Central Thai, Isaan Thai and English is fantastic. Many thanks Kru Shelby

I've had two classes on sentence structure/grammar for advanced beginners with Shelby so far and I've found them incredibly useful and fun. The exercises are excellent: they get you practicing the structures and are about things you would say in real life. In addition, the language of the resources is spoken Thai, which is great. I really appreciate how Shelby speaks Thai throughout the entire lesson; while this is challenging, it is really best for developing listening skills and a feel for the spoken language. Thank you, Shelby! See you again soon!
