Enthusiastic, TEFL-certified teacher and fellow language learner who understands adult students. Hi, I’m Jen, a native English teacher from the United States with a neutral U.S. accent. I also speak Spanish at an intermediate level and continue studying it, so I understand the challenges of learning a language as an adult from a student’s perspective. I hold a BA in Psychology from Trinity University, a BS in Accounting from Colorado State University Global Campus, and I am TEFL certified. My professional background includes hospitality, tutoring, fraud investigation, utilities, green energy, and GIS. Across these roles, clear communication, patience, and helping people understand complex information have always been central to my work. My lessons are friendly, supportive, and focused on real-world communication. I especially enjoy working with adults, particularly learners who studied English earlier in life and are now returning to it. We build speaking, listening, grammar, and confidence step by step using practical materials tailored to your goals and interests. In our first lesson, we’ll assess your current level, discuss your goals, and create a personalized learning plan that works for you.
