I am very dedicated to my students learning journey, but I like to make it fun for everyone.
I have a lot of patience as a teacher. I have been teaching professionals at work as well as other students. The best way for me to teach is to understand what the students need with their English. Classes can be taught to fit these individual needs. Classes need to have variety, and it is very important to keep the students interested.
The classes are kept as relaxed as possible. I want to get to know the students and give them as much confidence as possible in their English. The students learn the best through as much talking practice as possible, covering as wide a range as topics as possible.

It is important to not continually correct every mistake, but to let the students learn. The more relaxed and confident they are, the more they are learning, in the long run.

Post Doctoral Research Fellow/Research AssistantI spent over 5 years working fr the European Commission in Belgium, first as a post doctoral research fellow, and then as a research assistant.
The official language of the institute was English. During this time, I helped many of my colleagues with reading and correcting their English papers/reports.

Leigh appears to be a patient tutor who has the ability to keep the conversation going by asking thought-provoking questions. I'm glad that I decided to take classes with him as I find his laidback personality and his open-minded attitude to my goals and standpoints beneficial to a positive atmosphere throughout our conversation.
