Namaste! I am Sanchita from Lucknow, India -- a linguaphile, storyteller, ex-journalist and teacher with 15 years of experience in Hindi & English language communication. I teach Hindi & English at all levels. I believe that learning a language is like opening the door to a new, rich cultural experience. It can’t be complete without understanding the socio-cultural contexts in which a language has grown and evolved. I am learning 4 languages currently – Turkish, French, Spanish & Mandarin. I am also a published author. My short stories & articles have been published in Hindustan Times (newspaper), TES Orbit (magazine), Spark (online magazine).教学经验
My journey as a teacher started with my job at the Institute for Career Studies in 2020. I trained Grade 10, 11 and 12 students to prepare for university entrance tests. I mentored them, helping them improve their communication skills and learn how to give their best in group discussions & interviews. Later, in June 2022, while still working at my full-time job, I joined the Duolingo Global Ambassador community as a teacher. I took classes during my free time and hosted regular sessions for attendees from Europe and the US – receiving a solid 5-star rating. The rich cultural exchange and global exposure that I gained in these classes, prompted me to make this my permanent vocation.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
I like partnering with my students as a friend. My sessions are conducted in an environment of open & two-way communication, keeping in view the learning pace and convenience of each student. I encourage them to ask questions – not just about grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation or other aspects of the language, but also about India – its ancient heritage, cultural wealth, rich diversity, people, topography, history, and place in the modern world. I regularly seek feedback and suggestions from students to tweak my teaching style, if required, and customize the lesson plan to best suit their needs. I use a variety of formats – storytelling, videos, presentations, etc. – to deliver my lessons.我的教学资料

Sanchita had a whole plan for my lesson today but I have tried improvising for the homework I had not done/finished, so it ended up taking the full hour, she is very flexible, she gave me some sentences to improve my sentences, and we had a good laugh about some anecdotes of my Colombian trip :) Thank you for your immense patience Sanchita and all your help !

I wrote a little text about St Patrick's Day, our National Day here in Ireland, how we celebrate and what happened this year here in Dublin. Sanchita and I reviewed it and she corrected/rephrased some of my work which is super helpful. When you worked on it, on the way of saying this, the grammar, the oblique cases & postpositions etc, it is good to have it reviewed to do better (hopefully) the next time! We also did a role play which was fun, the auto rickshaw was charming :) haha. More homework now on the shoulders, looking forward to working on it for next class! Thank you so much Sanchita for all your help and clear explanations!
