Hello! I am Fatima, a certified Latin teacher with ten years of experience and a degree with honors in Classical Languages. I am passionate about bringing Latin to life for my students, whether they want to master the basics or delve deeper into classical texts.
As a former Greek tutor at the University of Los Andes (elected twice!), I have mastered the grammar and linguistics of ancient languages, but my approach is practical and patient: I tailor each lesson to your goals. As a teacher I like to adapt to the student and their needs. If I notice that the student needs help with something I immediately offer my help. I am a very patient person and I don't focus on the amount of theory I can give but on the quality of the lessons.我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My classes tend to focus primarily on introducing theory and explaining examples. Then I usually focus a lot on exercise work, so that the student can make use of the tools I provided when giving the theory. I do not move on to other content until the student has understood what I have taught him/her at the time.我的教学资料

II Coloquio: Maquiavelo - Universidad de los Andes - 2016This colloquium required knowledge of philology and the use of terms in the Greco-Latin language, since without knowing the meaning of the words it was impossible to understand the philosophy being studied here.

学士 - Ancient Greek and LatinDuring my university studies the focus was on the morphosyntactic analysis of ancient texts, the historical location of each text and the study of the author. All this in order to be able to make a correct philological study of each text.
I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Philosophy, which will help me to have a better vision of the content to translate in my work.

Teacher assistantDuring this period of time I worked as the teacher's assistant assisting the students in the content explained by the teacher in charge. I was in charge of clarifying doubts and helping them with the work assigned by the teacher. I reinforced morphosyntactic content and gave them guidelines to translate correctly.

Wonderful Latin classes always. Teacher is always on time, materials are wonderfully prepared and given for the lessons, and she explains everything very clearly in an easy to understand way. Highly recommend taking Latin classes with Fatima.

We did all the exercises for chapter 8 in the exercise book for Familia Romana. To me it's a great way to learn, as not only do you study on your own beforehand memorizing the exercises, but you also interact with the teacher in doing the exercises from memory.
